Community: A friendly congregation serving Chippewa Falls

Christ Episcopal Church has been part of Chippewa Falls life since 1866. Worship began in homes and storefronts until a wooden church was built in 1874—first called Zion Church, later renamed Christ Church in 1882. When fire destroyed the original building in 1897, the congregation rallied. By December of the same year, our stone church was dedicated—the same Gothic Revival structure you see today on Bay Street. In 2016, we marked 150 years of ministry.

Generations have prayed, celebrated, and grieved within these walls. We continue to be a steady, welcoming presence for people seeking meaning, tradition, and a place to belong.
